When one knows they are missing something, it’s hard to pin down exactly what will fulfill them until they experience it. It’s kind of like seeing a picture of a dish and trying to guess whether you would enjoy eating that or not.
You need a reference point, you need to have some sort of understanding of what you are doing or plan to do in order to judge what’s right for you or not. You don’t know if that need will be fulfilled until you try it.
You may end up trying it and not liking it after spending so much time thinking and obsessing about trying to fulfill that need. So was it really all just a waste of time? Not really, that’s why finding out is half the journey. Once you find out, you still got to walk the path forward.
