Video Vault #1
This video changed my entire perspective on Business and my Health:
Hopefully you watched the whole thing if you haven’t before. After watching this video, I came to the realization that for over 20 years of my entire career, I had no Why.
I did things just because they presented themselves to me. I coasted through my Professional Life. I also noticed that most of the Companies I worked for were also in the same boat. Most Companies don’t have a why, they might certainly tell you they do, but it becomes blatantly apparent when there actions show otherwise.
Before going to bed on Father’s Day, I wasn’t feeling particularly well. I tried to sleep but it was a restless sleep all night. After waking up in the morning, I just felt something was wrong. After Eating Breakfast, things started to take a turn for the worst. I decided to drive myself to the emergency room, leaving my wife to watch over the kids.
It went by pretty fast once they started running tests. I was diagnosed with an Atrial Fibrillation. The cause? They were unsure, but I’ve had problems with sleep apnea in the past and unbeknownst to me, I was Diabetic, and my blood sugar was incredibly high when I brought myself in. It looks like the health complications I’ve had my entire life could be the end of me that day in the ER.
But, fast forward to Today, my Heart Condition and Health are under control. I made some significant changes that have helped me along that path. But sitting their in that hospital bed having them run tests and not being fully aware of the gravity of what was happening to me caused me to take a hard look at my life.
Why was I here? (Or still here?) What was the use of me fixing thousands of computers systems at my job for it all to end now? What should I have done differently to feel more accomplished in my work and with my family?
These are questions you should be asking yourself before you get diagnosed with a Heart Condition. If we all start with why in every endeavor we commit ourselves to, the world would be in a much better place. We wouldn’t waste our time on things that didn’t serve us, like excessive wealth collection, berating and manipulating others, even acting more on our selfish natures.
We would want to help others for the sake of bettering our relationships. We would want to be a shining example of truth, justice and serving others, because of the Golden Rule.
So I encourage you to not only Find Your Why, but to Live it everyday. You don’t know when you’ll regret it, but more than likely it will be too late to do anything about it if you don’t do it now.
Until Tomorrow,
