I’ve lived a long time on this Earth, and I guarantee I was on the Internet before you were. But I’ve also been a part of many IRL communities, as well as early digital ones. Many people these days don’t join communities anymore, and it’s not for lack of how many there are.
There are many, but people just don’t want to commit to any right now. They are too busy with low commitment actions, like Doom-scrolling on their phones or not wanting to pay a membership fee to take a local cooking class. They can’t be bothered to do something or pay for something that would increasingly make their lives better.
It’s kinda sad, because we are all becoming more and more anxious because we aren’t living in reality. We’re living, thinking that the rosy social media influencer life is the aspiring norm that we should all strive for. However, I know for fact they feel the same way you do. Like you’re never enough and there’s never enough time in the day to be enough.
So do something that will actually move the needle in your life, you’ll be better off for it instead of distracting yourself one more time with your slop Instagram Feed.
Until Tomorrow,
